Why Let Me Run?

After working in the nonprofit sector for the past ten years, I’ve witnessed countless organizations doing incredible work to support, protect, and empower communities. However, one recurring gap I’ve noticed is the lack of focused support for young boys. Too often, their unique needs are overlooked in the broader push to serve others. Growing up, I didn’t have the most stable childhood. What I did have, however, was a community of boys and men—especially through sports—who invested in me, challenged me, and helped shape my character. Those experiences bridged many gaps in my life and played a crucial role in making me the man I am today. That’s why I’m drawn to the mission of Let Me Run. The organization’s commitment to building a national community that nurtures the emotional, physical, and mental development of boys resonates deeply with me. I see myself in the boys we serve, and I want to be part of the effort to create spaces where they can grow, thrive, and become their best selves. There are countless young men out there who, like me, simply need a community that believes in them.

Why Let Me Run?

I found Let Me Run in 2018 and immediately my husband and I started a team for our 2 boys at our elementary school. I have been coaching for 11 seasons. I feel so lucky to have the chance to work with our amazing population of boys. I've seen first hand how the curriculum and coaching changes boys and coaches lives for the better. Watching boys gain confidence to be themselves and work hard to meet their goals and be amazing humans brings me such joy and keeps me coming back season after season to grow the Seattle Region. I became the Regional Director in January of 2020 and moved to Program Manager in Spring of 2025.
